Superior Spirit Sand Plant

The Superior Spirit Sand Plant — a packaged combination of cyclones, dewatering screens, sumps and pumps — certainly looks different than a sand screw, but its purpose is very similar: fine material washing and classifying. It’s the application that ultimately drives your capital investment.

By analyzing all the parameters of the application, Spirit Sand Plants are fine-tuned for precise processing needs. The plant features bolt-together, pre-plumbed pipes and pre-installed wiring components for faster installation.

Plant Components and Key Features:

Dewatering Screen

Adjustable deck of +/- 2° allows fine tuning of the angle of the deck for more or less dewatering.
Urethane sidewall media removes moisture from top and sides of material for drier product.
3-piece adjustable dam to control bed depth at discharge.

Helix Cyclone

Feed inlet of square to round transition made of high wear urethane.
Geometrically efficient inlet reduces turbulence to improve classification and lower internal wear.
Overflow pipe designed with high-wear HDPE material.
Vortex finder prevents short-circuiting (less misplacement of coarse material to the overflow).

Sump Tank

Internal baffle reduces turbulence for more consistent, uniform flow.
Bottom plate sloped design allows even material flow to pump.
Cleanout flange with a bolt flange design simplifies access for cleanout.
Removeable access panel for easy access to the pump.
