Superior Helix Cyclone

The Helix Cyclone is 100% designed and built by Superior Industries.

A slurry material is pressurized and fed near the top of the cone-shaped cyclone. Heavier, coarser product is flung to the outside while the finer particles collect in the center where a constant syphoning effect is taking place. This pulls the finer waste product out through the overflow pipe. Salable product is discharged through the apex at the bottom.

Key Features:

The feed pipe has a square to round transition made of high wear urethane.
Geometrically efficient inlet reduces turbulence of feed, which improves classification, and lowers internal wear (patent pending).
Overflow pipe designed with abrasive-resistant HDPE material.
Vortex finder prevents short-circuiting (less misplacement of coarse material to the overflow).
Typical cyclone discharge is 50-65% solids. The optional siphon assist can reduce discharge moisture as low as 75% solids.
